On July 11, the “2024 Australia Finished Vehicle Export Symposium” hosted by SAIC Anji Logistics was held at the company's headquarters. Attendees included Ms. Deb Langford, Minister Counsellor for Agriculture at the Australian Embassy in China; Mr. Nathan Reid, Director of the Compliance and Enforcement Division of the Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry; Mr. Sam Griffths, Deputy Director at the same department; Ms. Jin Wenshuo, Senior Research and Project Officer at the Australian Embassy in China;  Mr. Zuo Xinyu, Secretary-General of the China Automotive Logistics Association of the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing (CFLP); Ms. Chen Qianqian, Party Secretary of SAIC Anji Logistics, and over 20 guest representatives from various companies including Tesla (Shanghai), Great Wall Motors, and COSCO Shipping Lines.

Before the symposium, SAIC Anji Logistics had discussions with the Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry regarding the achievements of their past cooperation. Both parties expressed their commitment to continuous and in-depth cooperation in the future to jointly facilitate the smooth operation of the China-Australia automobile export supply chain.

In her speech, Ms. Chen Qianqian welcomed and thanked the guests for their presence. She particularly emphasized SAIC Anji Logistics’ deep concern and strong commitment to biosecurity in China-Australia automobile exports. She stated that SAIC Anji Logistics would continue to serve as a bridge for China-Australia automobile export exchanges, consistently contributing to the prosperity and development of China-Australia automobile trade.

She urged fellow supply chain colleagues to thoroughly learn and implement Australia's various biosecurity requirements for automobiles, thereby enhancing the customs clearance ability of Chinese-manufactured cars in Australia, reducing costs, and increasing brand competitiveness.

Mr. Zuo Xinyu pointed out that Australia is one of the main destinations for Chinese automobile exports. Chinese automobile export enterprises will actively build an unimpeded international automobile supply chain while respecting the laws and regulations of the destination country. The China Automotive Logistics Association of CFLP will join hands with the Australian counterparts to jointly maintain the stability and smooth operation of the China-Australia automobile supply chain.

Ms. Deb Langford expressed her appreciation for the current quality and safety of Chinese vehicles exported to Australia. She reviewed the process of establishing the Australian biosecurity system and hoped for deeper exchanges with various Chinese counterparts to promote the growth of China-Australia trade.

Subsequently, Mr. Nathan Reid introduced to the attendees the strict biosecurity inspection system that Australia implements during the automobile import customs clearance process. Mr. Sam Griffths then focused on the biosecurity inspection training that Australia will soon conduct in China. He stated that the training would use content consistent with that in Australia, aiming to ensure that the Chinese side can understand and comply with Australia's biosecurity standards.

During the interactive discussion session, company representatives shared case studies and exchanged experiences on topics such as the latest standards and testing requirements for biosecurity risk materials, optimization and efficiency improvement of vehicle clearance processes, and the establishment of training and cooperation mechanisms.

This symposium follows last year's China Automobile Export Biosecurity Conference, also hosted by SAIC Anji Logistics. In the future, SAIC Anji Logistics will continue to closely cooperate with the China Automotive Logistics Association of CFLP, striving to become a link and bridge for international logistics cooperation and cultural exchange. Together with partner companies, they aim to ensure the smooth operation of the Chinese automobile export supply chain and support the global reach of Chinese manufacturing.
