On May 26, the Anji Shipping Co., Ltd. of Anji Logistics held the solemn yet concise “Anji 23 and Anji 26 Roll-on Roll-off Ship Naming and Maiden Voyage Ceremony” at the Global Auto Dock of Tianjin Port.
The ceremony was attended by relevant leaders including Vice-President Fan Qiang of China Classification Society, Vice-President Zhao Yanhu of Tianjin Port Group, Deputy General Manager Hong Zhimin of Service Trade Division of SAIC, Deputy General Manager Tang Shao of Planning Division, and Secretary-General Zuo Xinyu of Automotive Logistics Branch of China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing, who co-witnessed this important moment. The ceremony was hosted by Deputy General Manager Xin Jianmin of Anji Logistics, with the welcoming speech given by General Manager Yu De, and other speeches given by Vice-President Zhao Yanhu of Tianjin Port Group and Deputy General Manager Hong Zhimin of Service Trade Division of SAIC Motor. “Anji 23” vessel was invested by Anji Shipping. It is a new car carrier with the most advanced technology and the largest number of parking spots that is independently researched, developed, designed, manufactured and inspected in China. With an elegant, smooth, and refreshing appearance, a large loading capacity, compatibility with a wide range of models, low comprehensive fuel consumption, and high handling efficiency, its various technical and economic indicators are all at international leading level.

The EEDI of “Anji 23” vessel is below the baseline 30.5%, and its operation fuel consumption is decreased by 15% compared with its parent ship. It is conferred the additional marking GREEN SHIP II by CCS, which makes it China’s first car carrier with this green additionalmarking.

Its design and manufacturing satisfies the latestconventions, rules, norms, and requirements. In terms of vehicle cabin fire separation, the tightness deck has reached the fire separation requirement of A30 level; its insulating course is covered by aluminum mesh, so that the exterior shaping and aesthetic degree can be greatly enhanced and maintenance can be unnecessary within the whole life cycle. In terms of noise control, actual ship noise testing result has shown that the noise within crew’s living cabin is obviously lower than 55 decibels, mostly between 40-50 decibels; combined with high-end interior decoration, crew seamen will feel at home during working, living, and resting.
